After reaching a management position at the Cheesecake Factory, he quit to pursue the dream of owning his own business. Monte founded Black Sand Real Estate in 2004, which has grown and survived even after the disastrous real estate crash of 2008. His business model was created in such a way to help people during the housing crisis.
